We made fabulous memories visiting these Southern cities in the Spring of 2018. We were told the Spring is the most beautiful and comfortable time to visit weather-wise. We absolutely loved the architecture of the buildings, trees, flowers, history, style, and the food! Tyler was just starting to get into photography at this point in time!

Mrs. Wilke's (Not to be missed! a unique family-style experience, where everyone is seated together to share every Southern dish imaginable, and then all leave together and the next group is seated. We showed up before their first seating by about 45min and stood in the rain and it was WELL worth it!)

STAY

Charleston

We stayed at 86 Cannon, which is a super beautiful bed & breakfast. Each room has its own Southern flair. We stayed in suite 5, which had an amazing glass-enclosed shower next to the brick chimney. This is till my favorite shower ever! The cinnamon chip biscuits in the morning were delicious! I still follow them on social media and it looks like they have since expanded their property and have a pool too!

Savannah

We stayed at a B&B in Savannah that was ok, but we would definitely try something different if we visited again.

Tips

We have heard the weather is extremely humid at certain times of the year, making it difficult to be outside.
Southern food is DELICIOUS (probably because of the butter) and heavy, so be ready for a higher-caloric intake to try all of the staples!
We flew into Charleston, drove to Savannah, and then flew out of the Atlanta Airport to go to the Georgia Aquarium! It extended our drive time, but the aquarium was outstanding!
