jackson hole, Grand Tetons + Yellowstone

We love this mountain modern town with tons of outdoor adventures to be had at all times of the year!  There is vast wildlife, gorgeous surroundings, luxury accommodations, and plenty of delicious food options.  Our first visit was in the early Fall of 2021 and we visited again on Christmas Day in 2023.  This is a place we want to experience in every season.

Wyoming, USA

  • Snake River Grill (Need to reserve 2 months ahead; we loved the Sea Bass and Buffalo Steak)

  • Bistro (The duck and pork chops were delicious!)

  • Hand Fire Pizza (The Chew-Baka)

  • Trio (We have been here twice and enjoyed the focaccia bread, beet & burrata salad, ricotta gnocchi, half chicken, butternut squash risotto with flank steak, peanut butter cup, and wood fired s'mores)

  • Persephone Bakery (Amazing for breakfast, lunch and snacks!  We visited here often and would recommend trying everything haha.)

  • Local (Buffalo steak and burger!)

  • Glorietta Trattoria (Pickled veggies, handmade pappardelle with slow-cooked beef ragu)

  • Teton Thai (Sweet and sour soup)

  • Corsa (This restaurant is at the Caldera House in Teton Village.  We enjoyed the ricotta honey and fig on bread, carbonara, and mushroom side.)

STAY

  • In the Fall, we stayed at Hotel Jackson in Downtown Jackson.  This was a fantastic luxury hotel with comfortable rooms, great design, and excellent service.

  • In the Winter, we wanted to stay in between Jackson and Teton Village, so we found a cabin at the Fireside Resort.  It was a good location and inexpensive for Jackson.  It looked nicer in the photos and was ok.  Many would probably love this spot, we just prefer more luxury with our accommodations.

Tips

  • You need dinner reservations

  • Animal sightings are more common at dawn and dusk

  • Be bear aware (it is a good idea to purchase bear spray if you plan to be out in the wilderness.  You can't take it on the airplane.)

  • The National Parks have great safety info on how much distance to keep between yourself and the different wild animals

  • Don't forget to pack binoculars for wildlife viewing
