STAY

• We have enjoyed staying in the Wailea area the most.  Our last trip was prior to the existence or knowledge of Airbnb and prior to being able to afford nice accommodations. 

• For our next stay, we are interested in staying at the Andaz or Four Seasons, or perhaps an Airbnb with ocean view.

Tips

• We love Andrew Doughty's blue Hawaii guidebooks for visiting the Hawaiian Islands.

• The Road to Hana (This day-long adventure is on a windy road that is often only wide enough for a single car to go through.  Drive with caution!  People with motion sickness be prepared.)

• Haleakela Sunrise (Yes, it requires you to leave REALLY early, but it is worth it!  I (Carly) have done it 3 times now and love my sleep.  Be prepared with pants and warm clothes.  Bring blankets or even beach towels for warmth, as it is COLD up there!  Grab breakfast afterwards and then go take a good nap.  You won't regret it!)
